oh so bored!
Jul. 28th, 2008 12:51 pmSo I uploaded a bunch of pictures! Check them out at http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v326/MajesticArcanine/japan/ . There are *two* pages to look through with the appropriate tags.
Anyway so.. my parents came a couple weeks ago to visit me before they started their tour of Japan thing. They climbed Mt Fuji and didn't enjoy it so much because it was a tough climb and also my mom got altitude sickness very badly. So we went to Asakusa in Tokyo as well as Ueno park.We went to this national museum there which was very interesting. Also we went to a bamboo garden with my students. I don't remember so much more of what we did. Nothing too interesting for me, perhaps.
Soooo... then after I finished teaching and break started, I met my parents in Hiroshima. We went to Miyajima, a very nice island in Hiroshima bay. We went up this gondola to the top of the mountain there and had some very nice views and saw some cute MONKEYS!! They were adorable and a few were grooming a deer and eating its ticks. SO CUTE. I took pics of it so be sure to check that out.
We also went to the atom bomb museum and peace park. It kind of sucked though because I determined the best amount of time to spend at the museum is 1.5 hrs, and since I was with my parents tour group, we got limited time in all the locations. Oh right. and I had okonomiyaki for both lunch and dinner. It's soooo yummi!
So I came back from that a couple days ago and went to the numazu festival for 2 days. it was very fun and we saw fire works and dressed in yukatas.
Uh what else other than that... I got a taiko drum game for the DS. it is cute and fun and I was hoping it would help my boredom for the next week because I have NO plans but maybe it won't. I need something to do for a week >___<.
I'm not sure if there is much else I could write about... I think I wrote about going to Fuji safari park and disney sea in one of my last updates. I guess I kind of forgot what I was up to before my parents came. But that's okay since I don't think I really did much of anything.
Good news is that I have a nice sleep schedule for a while now XD. If I find something else to add later, I guess I will, so for now, just check out my pics : ).
