Nov. 4th, 2003 11:25 pmI've been rather moody as of late. I feel very tired....
Damn, I told Koop all about how I went and played these Australian instruments and then forgot to paste it here...
Anyway, as I promised the guy last Tuesday, I showed up, 10 minutes late(*felt bad about that*), but I did anyway. I knew that he probably wouldn't show...but there was a chance that he would, he didn't. The only thing I was disappointed over is if he showed ten minutes before I got there...
I was late because I was talking to this street performer named Jake. He played the most interesting instruments... called "Bamboo" by the Australian natives(the guy apparently lived there and played with them), but some other name by the whites starting with D. Koop is idling, so I don't know the name.(Didgeridoo, Koop came back). But they're loooong hollow pieces of wood you blow into... He first gave me a lesson of how to use them, then I asked him if I could try. I got *somewhat* of a sound out of them XD.
Then I ran into that river/creek Jeferry and I stared at that one day.Perhaps he was right in it being a river, it gets really wide as it nears the ocean. I knew that it leads to the beach so I followed it all the way there... I sat around for a while and stared at the seagulls, then moved to a warmer place.
So someone *else* came to visit me 0_o. Me and Dave talked for a while... he had tons of junk in his pockets... including pot, pretty self-made fishing lures, and pretty rocks. I wanted one of his pretty peacock feather lures ;_;. He went back to fishing for less than five minutes when he returned and asked me if I wanted to go fishing with him (he had two poles). I was quite excited since i'd never gone fishing before XD. I sucked real bad and managed to tangle up the fishing line maaany times , but it was quite exciting when I actually got it thrown out pretty far XD. I mainly caught "moss fish", Dave liked to call it, or, just crap at the bottom of the river. During our "fishing" we got approached by a few citizens who told us that it was illegal to fish on Tuesday ^_^*. They said we could get fined a few hundred dollars. Not to mention that Dave didn't have a license. SO what else do we do but keep fishing? There was nothing we picked up... I went back to teh dorm before dark.
I remember someone telling me a long while ago that the only time they got "depressed" was when spending a lot of time alone , or was it NOT ASLEEP, thinking about depressing things. I think I spend a lot of time alone... I get very lonely sitting around in my dorm, so I spend my days off walking around downtown... I do my *very* best not to end up talking to myself, but some things can't be helped... especially when I see a pretty animal ^_^*. I wonder if I keep spending all this time alone, if I'll fall into depression *again*. Jeez, and the usual trend of it has been during spring time. TOO EARLY.
