And hello old friends too! I have added a few people during this friending frenzy found here- http://phenomenal.livejournal.com/113569.html so I thought I'd put in an intro post... If I were organized, I would find an old intro post and just cut and paste scraps of that here, but alas I don't really do the whole tagging thing so... :/. I think I'll just tag this intro now so at least I can do it for next time!

Anyway, my name is Liza, I'll be 30 very soon, and I'm an archivist! I've lived in many places including Japan, Maryland, Florida, but I always seem to be finding myself back in Northern California. I'm here now, finishing up a temporary project position where I'm working on the political papers of a local politician named Norman Mineta- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Mineta who used to be the Secretary of Transportation, among other things. I like my job now, it's super chill and honestly I'm not terribly productive, but it was only meant to be a 6 month position. I've been doing interviews and while I hope to find a job before this position completes, I know this is somewhat unlikely... I'll probably end up back in Florida.

My boyfriend of 11 years, Justin, lives in Florida and we've been long distance almost this entire time. While I was living with him, somewhat recently, I worked in this little Auction House and it was pretty fun, just not really a "serious" job, so I moved back to California to do this project.

I like classical rock a lot and actually a hobby of mine has been to learn as many classic rock artists as possible! I actually keep them all recorded in a spread sheet which I study somewhat regularly : ). My favorite kind of music is New Wave, however. I really love Depeche Mode.

I'm into a few fandoms... game of thrones, walking dead, Harry Potter and then a whole lot of bad reality shows. I also really like board games and I go to a meetup for board games pretty much every week. I like being competitive and I'm always in it to win it XD. I also play DOTA 2 a LOT... as for video games, yeah DOTA is all I play these days. I used to play a lot more, now only DOTA takes a lot of my attention.

I think I hit all the basics. I enjoy reading my friends list a lot! I do every day, so sometimes while I don't have much to say, I always pay close attention to what's going on with everyone.
