So the feral Tortoise Shell in my complex has a kitten. It looks nothing like her, but it's tiny and so cute and it's missing half its tail. All of you convince me now not to abduct it and bring it into my apt ;___;. I just want to go to the nearest hardware store, get a net or something and then abduct that little fuzzball. Its mommy will just be happier anyway, not having to take care of it but... I really don't need a pet right now XD;.

I know the feeling. I have the Facebook page for the local shelter added and every day there's a new picture of their adorable kitties. I want to save them all!!! D:

I also have my eyes on a stray kitten and I want it so bad, but I already have two cats in a small apartment and since I live with my mom, she also has a say - and it's NO.

I don't have any pets right now, but I worry if I take in a pet, i won't be able to take care of it when i inevitably have to move at some point. If I just got one, I may be ok but still... >__<.

There's a stray dog in our neighborhood. She's had a few litters but we only ever saw one of her pups, it was white and black and super fluffy. My husband did try to go over and take the puppy but Momma, who is completely feral, started growling when he got close so we let it be.

Oh my... yeah, stray dogs are a bit more of a problem than stray cats. I've actually never seen a stray dog before... most areas are pretty proactive about keeping the stray canine population at a very minimum. Maybe you guys can call animal control and get the pup that way? They're at least trained to deal with such issues. At the very least, it would be good to fix Momma so she can't have any more litters... There are programs out there that do that. They fix the animal then release them into the wild.

This was 2 years ago that we saw the puppy. And actually as I wrote that comment I realized I havent seen Momma for about 5 months. :-/

I tried to get her to come to me so many times. I've never had a dog not like me but she was so terrified of people that she wouldn't come within 30 feet of me. I did lure her into the backyard once but i guess she jumped the fence? Even if we couldn't have kept her as a pet I wish I could have taken her to be fixed.

Ah I see... yeah, that's sad : (. Maybe animal control already got to her. They usually end up putting down feral dogs because they're completely unadoptable. It's very sad : (.

She also isn't/wasn't very car smart. :-/ We live on the very edge of town so its hard to say if something may have happened to her. Of course, its also possible that I'll see her later this week. It seems like just about when i think "I haven't seen?Momma for a while, I hope she's okay." Is when she shows up again.
