What I did in December Part 2: Florida
Feb. 24th, 2007 03:05 pmSince I've forgotten a lot, somehow I think this post won't be as large as I think it will be.
So Florida:
So this time not only does Justin have a car, but he can actually drive it and take me places that I want to go to :D. So this trip was completely unlike any other Florida trip I have had because I didn't spend 80% of it sitting around in his apt and being bored and then causing drama because I'm so bored ^_^*. I still caused a lot of drama, but for different reasons. So thus proving that I cause drama in any situation anywhere :p.
Anyway, so I was there for December as usual and got to go on 2 trips! First, we went to this place on the gulf coast called "Ft Myers". Apparently Justin would go there every summer for family trips when he was younger. It was pretty fun, but kind of sucky that we went on December because the beach was too cold even for December >_<. I was freezing the entire time I was in the water except in certain warmer pockets, I guess you can call it. I got this really huge bright blue beach towel from there and as soon as I got back to San Jose, I found out that my dad stole it and now is using it -_-. It's a really pretty place! Here is just one pic that I like from there. Most of the other pics I took either turned out bad or are kinda lame.

So I guess that we went to the mall at some point. Here are two pics from there. I gots to ride a cute little dragon on the merrygo round they had. Justin took a bunch of pics of me on it but since he didn't know how to take moving pics(or maybe my camera isn't capable) they all sucked. Here is one that sucked the least.

I also made him take a pic in front of the cute little aquarium they had there, but alas you can't see the fishies : (.

The other trip was to orlando again :D. We got to go to "the magical kingdom" the last time we came to orlando, and this time we went to Sea World and this other ride park. I want to say "Islands of Adventure". I didn't take any pics at the ride park mainly because during winter I guess these parks close earlier and I didn't want to spend time taking pics. Or maybe the reason was that my camera's battery died and I didn't have a charger -_-. Either way, there were some cool things I wanted to take pics of : (. I guess this IOA is a universal park and everything there was comic booked themed so I didn't get what a lot of the rides were based off of. The best part about the park was that we came in December so the longest we had to wait for a ride was like 10 mins and that was mainly because it took so long walking up to the ride XD.
I'm also glad that none of the rides made me nauceous :D. Some spinny rides tend to do that to me. Last time i took Justin to the boardwalk, there was some spinny ride that he wanted to do where the spinning is controlled by you. After he spun that thing to all oblivion, I thought I was going to puke for a minute and it took me like half an hour to recover :|. Also, I sometimes feel really sick when rollercoasters drop suddenly, but that feeling is usually temporary.
I insisted that we go to Seaworld while we were in orlando and it probably was the best park I've been to since the last time I went to great america(like over 5 years ago??). Sea World SO owns Marine World <3 <3. I had enough battery power on my camera to take pics of only the killer whales(they've been my favorite animal as far back as I can remember). This is the most AWESOME pic ever.

I had taken lots of pics, but since there is a delay taking pics with my digicam, most of the pics turned out badly. Also, here is whale surfing:

I didn't get to take pics during this really extravagant show... I don't even know how to describe it. They had birds, acrobats(human ones DRESSED UP as birds), BLACK beluga whales, , all kinds of stuff. Very very theatrical...
So then I bought one of those disposable cameras for like 15 bucks(and then spent even more getting it developed). as I thought, most of the pics didn't turn out. I wish I hadn't spent liteally half the roll taking pics of this really dark pet show, especially knowing it was highly unlikely the pics were going to turn out -_-. The pet show was indoors and it was quite dark. Very cute show, though.
So then for the sea lion show(WTF is with all sea lion shows being the same thing?! absurdly dorky and sailor-themed). I took lots of pics for that. To prove just how dorky it is, here is a pic of one of the sailors getting chased by an otter with a huge sword.

Wait... depending on how much of a dork you are, you might find that cool afterall :3. I'm fairly positive that animeclub nerds would.
Here's some more pics of the show:

And here is an awesome pic. See, there was one ride we went on in Sea World(I think they have about 3 rides in total...). It was a pretty cool roller coaster. So I made Justin pose next to the coaster's mascot(Khan) and waited for the coaster to come. Moms had to keep their little children at bay until it came XD. This one little girl went in front of the pic for a minute, but she was gone by the time the coaster came. So I'm quite happy with this pic.

The last thing we got to do in sea world was this artic building with lots of artic animals. It was lots of fun in there and the temperatures were significantly colder inside! Then we spent a long time in the gift shop XD. After hugging most of the cute stuffed things in the store, Justin bought me a stuffed Beluga that I didn't hug XD. What I wanted most was this huge stuffed polar bear, but it would be too much of a pain in the butt getting it back home ;_;. The beluga whale is cuuuute though and he's in santa rosa keeping Horny Panda company. I hope Kotik doesn't rip him up too though -_-. Kotik completely ripped up Horny Panda one day and it took me a long time to sew him all back together -__-.
I just remembered that we also saw "Happy Feet" in IMAX. I loved it! I liked it even better than cars, but because Happy Feet kind of had a stupid plot the second half, I doubt it will win the oscar tomorrow : (.
Finally, here is a pic of Justin with his new carrrrrrro and the beluga:

Silly little boxcar.
So I guess I lied 0_o. This post seems huge. One of these days I'll get to writing about Oregon... and what I've been up to lately. One of these days :3.
