I'm so boring!
Feb. 22nd, 2005 11:07 pmMy last 3 entries have been uber boring, I guess, because no one commented XD. This one will be no better, sorry!
I had a lot to say, but only remember my to-do list for tomorrow because I have a lot to do! It's mainly for my purposes because I'm sure that if I don't write everything down, I'll forget something. Ok!
Go to Japanese study group. 10-11 am
Maybe go to Syntax class
Call Grandma Sofa to wish her a happy birthday(she turns 80 tomorrow!)
Meet Jim(the syntax prof) after class
Job fair @ Student Union. 1 pm-6 pm
Japanese Ling Section @ SSI
GYM
Work on Anthro Essay
Drum Circle w/ Marian @ 10 pm
Finish Essay
We have drum circles every full moon. I've never been to one. I heard they're lots of fun!
I really like my work now that I was fired from the other dining hall XD. I was actually busy today, but in a good way. I'm arranging a trivia question for the days I work. Basically, if someone guesses the question right, they get in for free. Tonight's question was "What year was the banana slug made the OFFICIAL campus mascot". The answer was 1986. Most people guessed in the 70s XD. It was only made official after a chencellor tried to change it to a sea lion, which of course launched massive student protests. He put up a Sea Lion Statue in a spot on campus that students painted yellow in protest! So in 1986 it was made the offical mascot after a vote : ).
One bad thing about working Tuesdays now is that I miss American Idol. I'm so sad ;_;. I was looking forward to it so much this season and now I work during it ~_~. It's like the only show I watch on TV. Grr. Maybe I won't get the same shift for spring quarter, then I'll catch the end of it.
I'm seriously considering being an anthropology minor. The more I learn in my class, the more I just love it. It's so fun and interesting to me. I think it's a good sign when most people in my class aren't into it at all and I really am enthusiastic about it. It's still a lot of work. Basically, the only way that the minor differs from the major is by having 6 upper division classes instead of 9 0_o. I'm taking archeology next quarter, I think, even though the teacher is supposedly iffy, the class is supposed to be very easy. I need it for the minor. My parents, of course, will not approve. They think an antho major will lead to nothing. Ok, I can kinda understand nothing in the FIELD, but I'm not going to be an anthropologist. I really want to be something like a school councelor or work in HR, or if I'm REALLY lucky, a translator. For the HR related stuff, anthropology majors are highly looked on, almost as much as psych majors.
Yup, that's it. Now to work on passing classes!
