So I was there last Friday and most of Saturday.

It was damn fun and I wish I wasn't stupid enough to go home early. Oh well, there is always next year : )

Anyway, this year, they apparently opened up the whole entire convention center. It was gi-normous. What I mainly did was check out the artists tables outside the dealers room and hang out in the dealers room XD. When I wasn't doing that, I was spending lots of money on the arcade machines they had there.

So arcading was tons of fun. For some reason, I REALLY REALLY kicked ass at KOF 2003 and was pretty proud of my self UNTIL... iorie came and totally owned me XDD. And then again, I only had one round with him, I think that I may have done a bit better had i practiced more with him. Before Iorie, there was a nerd that was good competition for me. He managed to beat me a few rounds, but with some practice, I still owned XD. I guess I just didn't play enough people in it maybe, and I would have liked to play better opponents, but yeah, 2003 was my favorite arcade game there... and they had all my favorite 2d fighters. Iorie is quite good 0___o. And then he was like "Yeah.... I don't even like 2003" and then went back to his line for third strike XD.

I didn't play third strike much... the reason for that was because OBSURDLY good nerds basically owned that machine for almost the entire convention and I didn't like playing them at all. There was this Yang cosplayer who was like... fuckingcrazy. Better than Mike, better than ANYONE. jeezus. I played him once or maybe twice and managed to get his health bar down to like... 1/8th of full one round... or something crazy like that. Late at night when the crazy "owners" of 3rd strike left, only then I got some good matches in... but that was rare.

I was so fucking pissed though. Literally the minute I got into the convention, they were in the middle of the KOF 2003 tourney and wouldn't take me. and then when I signed up for other tourneys, the organizing guy totally effing BAILED and they never happened. Just the console tourneys, I guess, and I didn't like those. They did have Naruto 2(maybe 3 too...) but most of the time, all games were very crowded, and really, playing with nerds who knew nothing about the game and just used Akamaru to be cheap as hell in 4 player is no way to be good at the game :|. I don't like 4 player anyway. It's too chaotic and there is absolutely no skill in it.

My budget this year was significanly higher than my one from last year, so I managed to score with some more toys. I'm pretty anti buying boxsets and licensed anime, so I bought none of that. Mainly just random keychains and figurines, also some artwork I got for friends. I got mqduck a very fun print of the linux penguin which I think he will really like XD. I'm so happy that none of my friends like anime IRL, so I had no one to shop for :D. For myself, I mainly just got lots of keychains.... I got a pretty Sesshomaru photoalbum that I was gunna give to Titus when I realized that he wouldn't use it, so I'm gladly keeping it XD.

I also got a cute fanime shirt. I like it but the size is messed up :|. I freaken hate girls -shirts. They never fit me right at all. My very favorite kind of shirt is european man/gender-neutral shirts. i don't know why, but they always just fit me exactly how I like and the fabric is just soooo much nicer than any amerikan shirts. I love it when my parents go on vacation and buy me shirts. I have a very cool shirt-collection IMO ^_^. I'm not into clothes, but I am into collecting neat shirts. hehe. Anyway, my fanime shirt is like most other girlshirts... incredibly small and uncomfy. I bought a size X-large and it's still too small for my tastes. And REALLY, I am not THAT fat! US man-shirts often don't fit me well either. I'm usually a medium or large with those. I'd be a medium, but my hips are very large and don't fit right in a lot of mediums. I don't like tiny skin-tight shirts. this shirt seems like pre-teen size. seriously. Maybe I should have gotten the 3x one 0_o... maybe they only went up to 2x, but it's not like there was any way to try it on. oh well. It's still cute and maybe it'll shrink a bit in the wash and get shorter so it will stop being tight on my hips because I really hate that. *very picky* XD.

Titus' brithday is in a few weeks so I bought him lots of stuff... it was hard shopping for him. Because he's not into a lot of stuff. He's very BOYISH and not into posters, buttons, plushies, keychains(although this is a bit debatable I guess), etc. Also right now he's only into 2 anime- Bleach and he's kinda into Naruto. So yeah it was hard XD. I kinda thought figurines were safe enough so I bought him quite a few of those and a very silly print I think he'd like. I really wanted to find him a wallscroll and get him a custom teeshirt, but that didn't work out. I worried that a set of them that I bought him was too cute for his tastes, but then again, no matter how much he denies it, he really does like cute when it comes to a lot of things XD. All he talks about is how cute I am when I'm really not that cute, and he likes cute girls in anime and vg a lot more than he lets on :P. So I think he may like the set, I certainly love it and want to just keep it XDD. Too bad that my camera is missing or else I would show pics of all of all my/his new toys. *criez*.

Let me just say a word or two about all the artists who had tables. Ok, so I found out from Kanoe and Wei-Chen that you could basically just get a table if you ask for one. One would think that just anyone who wanted to show off their crap could get one, but I was so surprised. I totally expected to find crap from artists thinking they're great, but in reality, all the artists were so damn good 0_o. Even the little girl who looked like she was 14 was so awsome! I bought a winry keychain from her : ). My favorite artist was this really nerdy girl that reminded me a lot of daimonittellama for some reason. MAN I LOVE HER ART. I guess I'm just REALLY into a cute-style. Still carlitwo is my favorite artist. She's one of those old-skool pokemon fans that really just never stopped being a pokemon fan XD. This is her website . Apparently this Rattata is incredibly gay in this fanfic of hers XD. I like that rattata a lot. LOL.

I'm gunna e-mail her about this poster that she had to lure in people, and also ask her for a commission. I really want that poster 0_o.

I didn't watch too much anime except this really good one stephan took me to. I forgot the name, should ask stephan cause I really want to download the rest of it. It's a very angsty one :D. I watched the most CHEEZIEST thing ever- the sailor moon live action show XD. Man it's pretty terrible, but I still liked it a lot XDD. I'm thinking about downloading more of it cause I actually first watched it last fanime! So now with both of those fanimes(watched it in a weird order) I should be around episode 7-10 I guess.

One thing that I'd like to mention is this Korean anime called "The littlest Bride". I've never seen a Korean movie before and this movie was so awsome!! I wish I had stuck around more for the Asian films becaues that really was the just about the only thing I was interested in seeing a lot more of. The Littlest Bride was about a 15 yr old girl who's dying grandfather's last request was for her to get this guy as a husband. So she ends up living with him and starts cheating on him and puts him through crap because she's still just a little 1st year high schooler and obviously doesn't wanna get married XD. It was just such a cute romantic comedy and had the sweetest ending ;___;.

All in all, it was an incredibly fun con, more fun than I've had in a long time, and I hope next year is better ^_^.

yeah, my bf LOVES Yuri. He's always talking about how he wants to see me in her outfit... and then in custom-mode cap vs snk 2 he made a pantsless Yuri and then was disappointed he wasn't the first one to think of it XD. Weird fanboy XD. She's a great and fun character to use, but still my loyalties like with Sakura XD.

I only did great because I play other KOFs. (Once you know how to play one, you can play 'em all, unless it's '94 or '95 or something...) Besides, I've played it a little bit before, so I know some of the basics. Still can't get used to the tag-team feature, and the game has serious balance issues. (Duo Lon WTF)

I got a 6-win streak at 3rd Strike in my Yomi cosplay. Using Q. That was one of the highlights of the con. X3

Q? XD! I know no one who uses him. what a crazy character! I notice that in 3s I'm good against some characters, but better against others XD. I use only Ryu and Makoto, and depending on my opponent, I chose one or the other XD.

And yeah, Right now I have 2002 and 2001 on DC... I used to hate 2003 just because they changed terry's outfit,but now I'm more used to it. I like a lot of things about 2003 now. Still I haven't chosen a "favorite". Maybe it's 2002 because I LOVE Mature. I love Mature a lot and she's in it XD. I really like 2000 for some reason... I wish I had that one, but my bf can't seem to find a copy he can burn for me : (.

Yes, 2000 is my personal favorite as well. I know how to use pretty much every character in that game. Even though people says it sucks in 2-player competition, I don't find it too bad as long as people don't use the infinites or abuse the strikers to hell (or worse yet, do both of them at the same time, like Ralf/Clark/Iori can do with Joe striker).

I'm just glad that 2003 included Hinako. She's my favorite character. :D

yeah I like hinako. I noticed in 2003 that I can easily do that slap combo and it just murders people XD. I was being kinda cheap, though ^_^**. first time I used her.

I abuse strikers in 2003 :D. Well, kinda. the only striker I like is fatmanchang because for some reason, he's like almost impossible to block XDD. strikers kinda suck anyway, they barely do any damage and don't hit most of the time, they're just annoying.

You just gotta pick the right strikers. Seth and Alternate Iori are generally the most used. And you can do some sick infinites with Joe striker. (With Ralf/Clark, you can do a close C, command grab the opponent, slam them to the ground, call out Joe striker, run up to them, do a close C, command grab the opponent, lather, rinse, repeat.)

yeah XD. Or any game with strikers really. I just use fatmanchang a lot when i feel like being annoying XD. When I wanna be serious, though, I don't even bother with them because i think they're completely useless.
