Mar. 25th, 2007 07:56 pmSo instead of talking about my DECEMBER Oregon trip, I'll discuss what I've been up to lately.

Same old I guess. My senior chimp class really stressed me out a lot -_-. I think I'm going to be the only one in the class not to pass it : (. I guess I stand a 50/50 chance of passing it. I really did try hard, but maybe not hard enough. I don't know. I've never written a research paper in college, much less a 15+ page one. Actually my freshman year here I did a research paper on "sore throats" for my infectious diseases class and I got a D on it >_>. And it was like only a 5 page thing : (. Anyway, I really hope I pass because I REALLY don't want to go through with the stress of another stupid AP class. My other classes were alright I guess. I expect some kind of B in them. My Japanese Pop Culture class was very fun overall but I didn't show up to several lectures because I'd been up all night freaking out over something that had to do with that senior class and I didn't want to be totally miserable the next day. On Mondays I was at school from 11 am to ~8 pm. Kind of a long day for me.
The senior class was alright because it was about specifically chimpanzees and we all wrote a research paper that had something to do with chimpanzees. My topic was very interesting. I don't feel like getting into detail about it though. It had to do with the more rare species of chimpanzee: bonobos They're really a fascinating species. I hope they don't end up dying out soon ... A terrible civil war in the congo has really devestated their population because starving people have been feeding on them.
I didn't socialize too much this quarter. I thin I went home like twice and both times I really didn't socialize with any of my friends. I hung out with Shige and Hiro sometimes in Santa Cruz. They are very fun ^_^. I don't know what else to add about this last quarter.
recently
I've been on spring break since monday and tomorrow at 6 in the morning I'm going to florida. I wasn't supposed to go there this time but Justin couldn't come here. I'm very unhappy that I can only see him for like 6 days this time. And he'll be at work half the time.
I hung out with a bunch of people... On Friday night I went with a bunch of people Lans knew to this campsite. I brought adrienne along and we were the only ones who didn't spend the night. I dislike being around drunk people overall, and really, people my age ONLY go camping so they can drink a lot. And I didn't really like being there. I'm also very anti social to begin with XD. The next night they played Tekken and I didn't like being there either. I really don't like being in social gatherings, especially with people I don't know. If I know everyone to some extent, it's alright, I guess.
Today I hung out with alexis for a couple hours. No one else wanted to hang out with me I guess : (.
Marine World

luisdizon219 woke me up and told me he was here and might not get to hang out with me. He's from the Phillipines and is on a family trip to different places in America and Canada. So he told me "Today we're going to Discovery Kingdom". I told him I had no idea what that was and if it was a museum. He had no idea at the time. So later I find out that this is the new name for Marine World. I really didn't want to go, but since I asked my mom for money and I thought it would be the only chance to meet him I went. Since the 24th was the opening day for the new name change, the park was really crowded. It took literally an hour to get tickets -_-. The park also closed at 6 so I only got to hang out with him for a little while, but it was fun : ). He really didn't like Marine WOrld that much. Hehe. There were protestors describing the atrocities Marine World does to its animals. Maybe I'll post some of the facts if I didn't lose the sheet . I guess I did. oh well. Anyway, it talked about how marine world "killed" 2 of its killer whales and how the new one was "abducted" from her family in france to perform in marine world. It also talked about how they starved the animals to get them to perform. These are all things that are important to know. The animal rights organization's aim is for marine world not to have animals just the rides. the rides are mainly very lame, though. That and other reasons are why they'll never succeed. Most people ignored the protestors.

Hopefully we will be able to meet again in May when he comes back to the Bay Area : ).
