I'm on Fire
First of all. I have officially somehow found an 80s music vid that isn't cheesy as fuck! It's one of my favorites from The Boss and he's actually done very few proper music vids. Have I ever mentioned how much I love LOVE Springsteen. Doesn't help that actually I find him very easy on the eyes. I am attracted to very , VERY few rock stars/musicians. He was pretty damn fine in the 80s though lol.
As of now my favorite bands are in this order:
1. Journey (always and forever Journey)
2. Depeche Mode (always and forever in second XD)
3. Rolling Stones
4. REO Speed Wagon
5. Springsteen
6. New Order
Anything after 3 actually kind of changes depending on my current obsessions. He's actually on tour now. He'll be in town in March. I am very tempted to go. None of my friends like my music so I have to beg and plead one/both of my parents to go with me XD;. I'm seeing Black Sabbath's farewell tour next month. I am very sad I didn't get to see Rush's farewell tour : (.
I was very weary going into The Force Awakens. It's because Justin did tell me there was a death and he got spoiled on it right before he went to see it on opening day. IMMEDIATELY I guessed who it was and I threatened to boycott the film. Justin refused to confirm my spoiler, but dad did. I guess Harrison Ford got many more millions than the other old actors because he wouldn't be in the rest of the sequels.
I'd rather they killed off Leia >_>. I don't know, I've never really had an affinity for any Star Wars character other than Han Solo and possibly Yoda. I just feel like every single other character is just way too one dimensional. Han Solo is the only multi-dimensional, interesting character. He is funny, brooding, sarcastic, wise-talking, crazy, fun, and all around awesome. That can't be said about any other character in the entire Star Wars Universe... well in my *cough*humble*cough* opinion. It also doesn't help I have a crush on young Harrison Ford, but meh. That was literally the only part of the movie I didn't like and I prepared myself for it.
My dad didn't like it because his expectations were too high. Literally he said "this movie had so much hype, I thought it would be as good as Empire Strikes Back" and it's like wow lulz. You can't expect this to be on par with the best Star Wars film. My expectations were that it would be better than the prequels, for which they exceeded. I actually didn't like any of the prequels except maybe the first one. Everyone hated the first prequel because they hated Jar Jar. I thought Jar Jar was cute, and little Annikan was cute, and I felt like it went in a completely new direction, which I was fond of. Prequel 2 and 3 just ugh... I hated them. I remember so little about them that I'd rather just forget they existed.
The Force Awakens was pretty damn good. Some people complain that Rey is too much of a Mary Sue and too overpowered. I kind of say "eh" to that one because while she won against Kylo, he was significantly weakened by the time she got to him. Dad didn't like Finn because he thought he was too over powered and "he didn't fit in at all". And actually keep in mind Finn lost both of his light saber duels. I think the last comment is because he's unused to seeing a black dude in a lead role in Star Wars and honestly people who feel that way can STFU because immediately when I hear that, that's what I think. I think he fits in great and is a really funny character. I'd like to see what they do with him for the rest of the series.
